The Carman Lay Foundation is thrilled to announce that Mary Beth Marsden of WBAL Radio will emcee the second annual “Swirl for a Girl” benefit on Saturday evening, May 5, 2012. Please join us for a fun-filled evening to raise money that will fund music and aquatic programs benefitting students at The Maryland School for the Blind (MSB).
We have some very exciting silent auction items including an autographed guitar signed by Ed Roland, lead singer of the band Collective Soul; a week’s stay at a private 5 bedroom beach house in the Outer Banks; an evening of laughter with Bari Alyse, a New York City-area comedian who will perform for you and your friends in your home (or designated place); and a wine and cheese party for 20 from Baltimore’s premier caterer, “An Elegant Affair”.
This year’s “Swirl for a Girl” will be held on the campus of MSB and features:
*music by the Generation Gap Jazz Band
*wine-tasting
*scrumptious food and desserts, and
*a silent auction offering other exciting items such as resort vacation stays at the beach and in ski country, tickets to Ravens and Orioles sporting events, one-of-a-kind furniture, artwork, jewelry, and much more.
Come mingle, bid, dance, drink and dine, while we toast the memory of Carman Lay and how her impact on families, educators, and the community can help children with special needs achieve their dreams.
We appreciate the tremendous amount of support and media coverage we are receiving from WBAL Radio and WBAL TV.
